The Ask
Gateway Casinos needed to refresh the entire public-facing look for their flagship Casino Rama Resort. They were building a new website and planning a broadcast campaign, but their existing media library was out of date. The job was to replace it all. They needed a complete set of photography covering every aspect of the resort—hotel rooms, restaurants, the gaming floor, and the event centre. At the same time, they needed a new TV commercial that could capture the energy of the place in 30 seconds.
The Shoot
This wasn't a one-day gig. We ran multiple teams over several days to cover the ground required. While one crew focused on architectural and lifestyle photography, another handled motion capture for the commercial. Shooting in an active casino means controlled chaos. We coordinated with security and floor managers to capture the buzz of the slots and tables without disrupting guests. We worked with housekeeping to get pristine shots of the suites and with the kitchen for perfectly styled plates that still looked like real food. The project's scope was wide, running from quiet, detail-oriented shots of a hotel room at dawn to filming a sold-out Scotty McCreery concert in their 5,000-seat venue that same night. It requires a different kind of planning, but we like that.
The Result
Gateway walked away with a comprehensive and organized asset library ready to deploy. For their web team, we delivered multiple high-resolution photos that gave them complete flexibility for the new site and future social content. For their marketing department, we delivered a broadcast-ready content for a 30 Second TV commercial that hit all their key messages. The bonus was a significant bank of b-roll from the commercial shoot, giving their internal team extra footage for ongoing digital ads and promotions. They got a top-to-bottom media overhaul that will keep their marketing fresh for the year to come!
