The Brief
Dufferin County’s tourism team came to us with a straightforward challenge: show people that the region is a year-round destination. They have great trails, farms, and hills, but perception was lagging. They needed a library of high-quality video and photography that could be used across all their marketing channels to promote activities in spring, summer, fall, and winter. The goal was to create a cohesive set of assets that felt authentic to the area and would last them for several years of campaigns.
Our Approach
A four-season project means a four-season production schedule. We planned a series of shoots spread across a full year to capture the unique character of Dufferin in each distinct season. This wasn't just about pretty landscapes; it was about activity. We filmed families hiking at Mono Cliffs Provincial Park in the fall, cyclists on the trails in summer, and snowshoers in the winter. We visited locations like Hereward Farms to capture the lavender fields in full bloom and Island Lake Conservation Area for paddling shots. Using a mix of ground-level cameras and aerial drones, we focused on capturing genuine moments that showcased the experiences available to a visitor, not just static views.
The Outcome
The final delivery was a comprehensive toolkit for the client. It included a primary 2-minute brand film, four 30-second seasonal videos optimized for social media, and an extensive photo library with over 500 edited images. These assets gave the County's marketing team a deep and flexible well of content, all unified by a consistent visual style. They now have specific, high-quality material to build targeted campaigns around, whether they’re promoting a fall culinary tour or a winter weekend getaway.
