The Ask
Ricky Tick Tacos makes some of the best food in town, but their social media presence wasn't quite matching what was coming out of the kitchen. They came to us for help capturing the energy and craft of their food for platforms like Instagram and TikTok. The goal wasn't a glossy commercial; it was to create authentic, engaging content that felt native to the feeds and could stop a potential customer mid-scroll. They needed a library of assets fast, without disrupting their busy kitchen.
On Location
We packed a light kit and went to them. A successful food shoot is about capturing texture and sound, so we focused on getting close. We shot everything from a low angle, putting the viewer right on the prep counter. We got sizzling meat, fresh cilantro being chopped, corn tortillas coming off the press—all the details that make your mouth water. We kept the crew small to stay out of the way of actual paying customers. The only direction we gave the chefs was to just do what they do best. We shot everything vertically, knowing exactly where these videos were going to live.
The Result
From a single day on site, we delivered a package of scroll-stopping social content. This included a dozen ready-to-post, edited videos for TikTok and Reels, cut to trending audio and paced for short attention spans. We also provided a broader library of high-quality, ungraded clips—the sizzles, flips, and garnishes—that their team could use for future posts. No overproduced fluff. We just captured the process, honestly and beautifully. The result was a toolkit of content that looked as good as the tacos taste, giving them months of material to keep their audience hungry.
